Hello,

I am seeking a blue clay or other clay with antibacterial qualities that can be used as a poultice to reduce infection and inflammation of the gums.

What clay do you recommend that would be most helpful for this purpose?

Would spraying with a silver solution enhance clay's effect?

Thank you,

Greetings [name removed]:

I've always used our green desert clay for this purpose. It works very well.

Sometimes, the pain will get a bit worse as the clay pulls out the infection. But, if a person sticks with doing the poultices, the outcome should always be good.

If you make your own colloidal silver, you can mix the clay with pure EIS colloidal silver to harness its infection fighting and tissue healing power.

However, clay is a remarkable medium; it acts like an enzyme at times, and as a buffer at times. To make a big difference with silver, I think you have to crank up the PPM... that said, we've always gotten good results with regular EIS colloidal silver at between 10 - 15 PPM. However, I've recently begun experimentation with EIS (not a silver compound) at 50 PPM, which I believe will produce more "measurable" results.

Regarding antibacterial clay: Don't let the "formal" research on blue clay fool you. I purchased a bunch of it because I was considering adding it to our family of therapeutic grade clays. I was really excited about this clay, and waited anxiously for three years for it to become commercially available.

The quality was really low compared to our other clays, so low that I couldn't put my name behind it. If I ever find a situation that our green desert clay does ***not** work on, where the blue clay DOES, I will reconsider my position.

I really want people to know that antibacterial properties that any given clay has (or doesn't have), has VERY little to do with how clay beats an infection and helps the body heal. Clay in essence is a life-promoting substance. Any antibacterial properties are likely do to co-minerals (metal ions) found in the clay, and not the clay itself.

Please carefully read this article:

http://www.eytonsearth.org/buruli-ulcer.php

The clay used for this treatment has no direct affect on the buruli bacteria. What the clay does is change the bio-terrain of the infection site, and absorb the toxins that knock out the body's immune system. Once those toxins are sorpted by clay, the body's natural immune system goes into immediate action. Clay also normalizes the treatment site by naturally debriding the wound and stimulating circulation.

In some cases, clay literally pulls all of the living bacteria out of the body. In other cases, it simply prevents the bacteria from replicating. In other cases, it destroys the bacteria's defense against the body's natural immune system. In other cases, a correction of the bio-terrain is all that is needed to address the infection.

With the mouth, the pulling power of the clay is more important. In an ulceration of the mouth, you can't get any antibacterial substance IN, because there is too much pressure; it doesn't matter how antibacterial the substance may or may not be. Clay pulls out the infection and the toxins, and safely removes it from the body while keeping the subsequent "wound" debrided, stimulates circulation, and helps the area to heal properly.

Then, yes, you can kill any remaining bacteria in the mouth by spraying a silver solution on it, or rinsing the mouth hydrogen peroxide, or treating the mouth with therapeutic grade ozone.
I hope this helps!
