Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy - Is it Safe to Do?
« on: February 18, 2019, 10:48:20 AM »
Hydrogen peroxide therapy is like any other "challenge" or "hormesis"-based therapy. Both safety and effectiveness depend upon the concentration used. Effective and safe concentration depends upon the condition of the person doing the therapy.

I do an H2O2 flush a few times a year just for fun. It can be safely used diagnostically to "test" how a person's innate oxidation/antioxidant system is working.  Start with one drop of 35% H2O2 in eight ounces of water.  Consume on a COMPLETELY empty stomach (at least 2 hours after consuming anything).  If one does not experience any stomach discomfort, increase by one drop the next day.  Simply listen to the body, and STOP the moment any discomfort is experienced.

Very ill people will max out at between 1 and 5 drops.

Many people will max out at around 15 drops.  This means that they could really benefit from a full detox program, but their oxidation/anti-oxidation status is "ok".

Those who can tolerate 25 drops, and experience only an increase in energy, are in great shape.  For them, it's a great idea to employ bio-oxidative therapy as a healthy, anti-aging practice.  Including ozone therapy with a maintenance dose of H2O2 therapy is a great idea.  While many people do it, I don't recommend doing it 365 days a year.  Any therapy that operates off of the principle of hormesis is best used "seasonally" UNLESS you have a reason to use it 365 days a year.  There ARE those situations with people experiencing chronic infectious conditions.  As the saying goes, never say never!

I also know people who drink a liter of water daily made with a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide, simply used to increase the amount of stabilized oxygen in the body.  They use around 11 drops of 3% H2O2 per day in their daily drinking water supply (diluted in 1-2 liters of water).  This isn't likely enough H2O2 to cause a hormesis effect.

I may also recommend a challenge test for ill individuals (like with Lyme) who are considering purchasing medical grade ozone equipment.  If a person can't yet tolerate something minute concentrations of H2O2, there is no way they will do good with something like ozone therapy. Such a person needs a lot more work preparing for any heavy hitting detox protocols.  It is a waste of good money to purchase expensive equipment that a person cannot benefit from due to tolerance issues.

People with very severe issues with free radical damage and detox impairment cannot even tolerate one drop of 35% H2O2 in eight ounces of water.  Phase 1 and Phase 2 detoxification are usually impaired.

Hydrogen peroxide therapy often presents a common "catch 22"  issue in alternative medicine:  Those who are healthy and don't really need it tolerate it very well, while those who could benefit from it most can't tolerate it at all.

To complicate matters, books like "The One Minute Cure" present a lopsided view of the therapy.  People who read this book leave with a false understanding that bio-oxidative therapies-- h2o2 therapy in particular-- offers "THE" cure for cancer.  However, if you do your research, you can find many people who followed the instructions to the letter with cancer...  who did NOT experience a cure.  Yes, you can also find people who did experience a cure, as well.

Like most therapies in natural and alternative medicine, it can be a tragic mistake to view particular therapies as "cures".

Things like ozone, MMS/CDS, and H2O2 aren't toys. They can cause issues "in the wrong hands".  They should be used with purpose and understanding.

The body is well equipped and adapted to working with minute amounts of hydrogen peroxide.  It is produced by the body and used to keep cells healthy.

A therapeutic concentration of H2O2 is a concentration high enough to destroy pathogenic organisms, oxidize toxic waste, and force cell respiration (to neutralize the H2O2), but NOT so high as to cause damage to cellular proteins.  The 25 drop dosage cap in most H2O2 protocols has been designed to fall within these parameters.  Once hydrogen peroxide has finished its reaction (oxidation), one molecule of health-promoting stabilize oxygen (O2) remains.

HOWEVER, there are cases where very ill individuals will have completely impaired Phase 1 and Phase 2 detoxification:  The cells are not able to produce the anti-oxidants which protect them from the H2O2.  In such cases, the concentration that can be safely tolerated drops dramatically.

However, in such cases, the individual is usually already suffering from late stage life threatening illness.

As such, hydrogen peroxide therapy is quite safe because it is self-regulating by self-limiting.  The body lets you know exactly how much it can comfortably tolerate.  Simply stay below that threshold.  Drop the dosage if needed, and give the body a chance to catch up.

Personally, I first used H2O2 +clay +activated charcoal to cure a parasitic infection I got when visiting the wrong natural hot springs (I also used a zapper, but the zapper alone could not do the job).

We use CDS (not MMS) in our water soluble anti-fungal protocol.

CDS as a stand alone bio-oxidative therapy is actually far easier to tolerate than H2O2 therapy.  Some people might want to do a round of CDS, and see if it improves tolerance to hydrogen peroxide therapy.

Forcing the body to try to take 25 drops of diluted 35% hydrogen peroxide is a fool's errand, which teaches the following lesson very well:  Learn to work WITH the body, not ON the body.

There are many a tale of people developing an aversion to H2O2 so bad that they vomit when exposed to it.

But you don't have to be a rocket scientist to learn how to safely use H2O2!  It just takes a bit of common sense!
